The word “well-being” has become increasingly familiar in recent years. It expresses not only physical and mental health, but also a deeper sense of living well. Design plays an important role in shaping and supporting this sense in everyday life.
This exhibition introduces “TAMA DESIGN UNIVERSITY,” an interdisciplinary research project launched by Tama Art University in 2024. The project explores the act of “planting seeds for the future” that lies at the heart of education, and envisions the futures that may grow from it. In the second part, beginning with the question “What kinds of wisdom and creativity nurture well-being?”, the exhibition presents ideas and practices drawn from the lives and work of designers, artists, chefs, doctors, fishers, and others across different fields.
