Tokyo Midtown Design Hub is the center of the design network operated together by institutions in the specific roles of design promotion, profession and research education. Since its establishment in 2007, it has brought together institutions to hold exhibitions, seminars, workshops and other presentations that introduce perspectives on the next generation of living and society. The network conducts activities to promote design as a powerful means to connect and mobilize many different people.

Connect
Design Hub holds various exhibitions all year round, providing the opportunities for interaction through design. Some exhibitions suggest solutions to social issues, others bring together designers and businesses and still others introduce the works of young designers and design activities in other countries.
Spread
In relation to the exhibitions, Design Hub organizes seminars, talk shows and workshops and holds media conferences in order to spread the messages to people and media gathering at the art and design center Tokyo Midtown.
Develop
Design Hub supports development of future generations through numerous learning opportunities; symposiums to discuss design issues, design-focused business management seminars and children’s workshops by designers and artists.

Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP)
Established in 1969 as Japan’s only comprehensive design promotion organization, Japan Institute of Design Promotion organizes the Good Design Award and conducts various design promotion and coordination projects.

Japan Graphic Design Association Inc. (JAGDA)
Established in 1978 as the sole national association for graphic designers in Japan, JAGDA currently holds 3,000 members. Its activities range from almanac publication, exhibitions and seminars, regional development, public design creation to copyright protection.
