CLOSE
Since it first opened in 1961, the Suntory Museum of Art has operated with the principle of "Art in Life." The esteemed, stylish, and inviting museum designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma fuses Japanese tradition and modernity, connecting the world to its vital collection of significant Japanese art. The museum encourages visitors to enjoy the best of Japanese art through stunning exhibitions of paintings, ceramics, lacquerware, glassware, dyeing, and weaving. Facilities on-site, such as the “shop x cafe” and the Gencho-an tea room round out the experience.
*The museum focuses on special, thematic exhibitions and does not have a permanent exhibition space.
